Technology Logo Design
For any business, a good logo should, in one look, conjure feelings in a potential customer that a business wants that customer to associate with its brand. This can mean different things in different lines of business. In the technology market, one of the key factors is innovation. Any technology company needs to be seen as an innovator in the world, or it is simply off the mark. Technology logos should, in some basic form, convey a sense of innovation to anyone who sees them.
Another key factor for a technology logo, though, is simplicity. Technology can be, and usually is, quite a complicated matter. Good technologies involve languages, materials, connections, and equations that are quite literally like a foreign language to the average person. Technology can often offer new ways of doing things that are disruptive to our current way of life. But when technology can simplify things in addition to offering a better way of getting things done, then it really works.
So in many cases, technology logos that can offer a mix of innovation and simplicity can be winning logos. But the most important thing is careful consideration of what you want the customer to feel when they think of your technology company, and be sure you have a logo that captures that feeling in a simple, hard-to-miss way.
